Dear Parents,
We are glad to have your child attend our Awana club. Awana clubs are for children ages kindergarten through eighth grade. Awana meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
Awana club meetings consist of three parts: games, handbook time, and singing/lesson time. Your child will enjoy the active Awana games uniquely created around the Awana circle. During handbook time, an adult leader works with a small group of clubbers assisting them in memorizing Bible verses and working in their handbook. During singing/lesson time, clubbers are taught lessons from God’s Word.
Your child will bring home an entrance booklet, which is the first step in Awana achievement. We hope you will help your child complete the entrance booklet within two to three weeks. When the booklet is completed, your child is eligible to wear the Awana uniform and earn awards for achievement. When your child has reached this goal, we will send home information about purchasing a handbook and uniform. Please help your child remember to bring his/her handbook to club each week. Please help your child prepare for club each week by spending time at home working on Scripture memorization.
We would love to have you visit our Awana club. We would enjoy meeting you and having you see firsthand your child participating in Awana.
Thank you for the privilege of working with your child each week at Awana. If there are any questions about Awana, please feel free to contact us through the church by calling 641-236-5525.
