Sermon Outline

Intro: Chaptrt 38 is a "parenthesis" in the story of the developing nation of Isreal which shows the dark side of human nature. We see what can happen when we allow sin to reign, and thankfully, the power of God's amazing, abounding grace, particularly in the life of Judah. This son of Israel has a disastrous beginning, but eventually rises to be a noble son and servant, and the ancestor of King David and the Messiah.
