Yes, character matters, because one's character will determine his destiny. This is clearly seen in Jacob's final words to his 12 sons. Each son had a prominate character trait that would affect (positively or negatively) the future of their tribe, descendants, for centuries to come. That's a very sobering thought! Concl. - King Solomon wrote (Eccl. 9:10), "What ever your hand finds to do, Do it with your might: for there is NO work or device or knowlege or wisdom in the grave where you are going." My translation of that is ... Just Do It! ... Do It wholeheartedly! ... Do It NOW! ,,, and keep doing it! Surrender totally and serve God tenaciously for the rest of your days. Start doing, and keep on doing the hard, right thing! It will be worth it all when we see Christ!
