Intro: Christ's letters to the 7 churches of Asia remind us that every church is unique, and has its own strentghts aand weaknesses. Ephesus was lacking in love, Smyrna was limping because of persecution, and today we see Pergamos was lenient & tolerated compromise with worldly belief & behavior.

Conclusion - The word "Pergamos" means "married", and the Bible teaches we are the Bride of Christ. The most essential ingredient in a marriage or Christianity is faithfulness/loyalty. That's what God is looking for... II Chronicals 16: 9. Let's not be lenient with the world, but loyal to our Savior.
