ONE WAY TO HEAVEN - PART ONE

Some of the most spirited debates you'll ever see or hear are on the subjects of politics and religion. Most of us have strong opinions on both, but to avoid controversy, some avoid those two subjects whenever possible. Thankfully, there are no known political qualifications for entrance into Heaven, however, Jesus did say, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3), and "you must be born again", (John 3:7). Jesus didn't mince words. There is one way to God; and it involves a spiritual rebirth that requires faith in God's only Son, Jesus Christ (John 3:16-18).

Some will say, "but what about the Buddhists"? The Buddhists are wrong! What about the Hindus? They are wrong! What about the Muslims! They are wrong! What about all the other hundreds of religions, cults, and persuasions? they are all wrong! Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved..." (John 10:9). He also said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

Some will say, "But I don't believe the Bible". That's their prerogative, but scripture says, "For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true, but every man a liar..." (Romans 3:3-4). Truth is truth, whether one chooses to believe it or not. You can choose not to believe in the law of gravity. Some have disdained the law of gravity while high on drugs, and have jumped off of tall buildings to their death.

Their foolish unbelief (however sincere it might have been) only proved the validity of the law of gravity, and it led to their unnecessary and tragic demise. Spiritually, many are making foolish assumptions about Heaven or Hell, the existence or identity of God, or the way of salvation. And all the while they are gambling with their eternal soul, and will make their fatal and eternal plunge into hell after it is too late to change their mind or destiny.

What about you? Have you been born again? Have you repented of your sin and placed your faith in God's only Son who shed His life's blood for you and rose from the dead? The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They did not "beat around the bush". They said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved." (Acts 16:30-31).

What about your relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers? Have they been born again? Are they ready for eternity? Ask God for the love and courage to share the truth with them, and it will set them free. (John 8:32-36).

"One door and only one, and yet its sides are two

I'm on the inside, on which side are you?"

Revelation 3:20 says:  "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
